Shah Rukh Khan, whose career of 28 years has seen him charm the audience, first as an anti-hero and then as the undisputed 'King of Romance', celebrates his 51st birthday .
The actor has been working non-stop for the past few months shooting "Raees", "Dear Zindagi" and Imtiaz Ali's next, and he rang in his birthday with his family in Alibaug.
Unlike last year, Shah Rukh will not hold any press conference, according to sources from his production house, Red Chillis Entertainments.
The actor's lone release this year was Aditya Chopra-produced "Fan", in which he played a superstar and his fan. The film did not weave magic at the box office but Shah Rukh's performance received massive critical acclaim. He recently appeared in a cameo role in close friend Karan Johar's directorial "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil".
His next release is Gauri Shinde's "Dear Zindagi", slated to release later this month, in which he will share screen with Alia Bhatt. It will be followed by Rahul Dholakia's much-awaited film "Raaes", which will arrive in theatres on January 26 next year.
Staying true to the tag of 'King of Romance', Shah Rukh will be seen wooing Anushka Sharma in Imtiaz Ali's light-hearted romantic film. Besides all these projects, SRK also has Aanand L Rai's next in his kitty.
SRK is one of the most sought-after actors in the film industry today, but he made humble beginnings from the small screen, featuring in shows like "Fauji", "Circus" and others.
After having a successful stint on television, he turned towards Bollywood with "Deewana" in 1992. He started off with anti-hero roles in films like "Baazigar", "Darr", "Anjaan" and also appeared in comedy, drama and romantic films.
