SC orders National Anthem be played in movie theatres

New Delhi

The Supreme Court  ordered that the National Anthem must be played in theaters across the country before a movie.

The apex court directs people in cinema halls should stand up when anthem is played. The court further said that National Flag should be shown on screen when anthem is played.

The Supreme Court directs Centre that the order should be given effect in a week's time and be circulated to all the states and UTs. The apex court further directs that no commercial benefits be taken by a person by playing the anthem.
