Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday greeted the nation on Milad-un-Nabi, which is the birthday of Prophet Mohammad, with the message that may this occasion further strengthen the spirit of harmony and unity in our society. "May this occasion deepen the spirit of harmony & unity in our society & may there always be peace & prosperity," he said taking to Twitter.
President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President Hamid Ansari have also greeted the people on the occasion.
In his message, the President hoped that the Holy Prophet's message inspires everyone to work towards universal brotherhood, compassion, and tolerance.
He also said everyone should recall the life and ideals of the Prophet and re-dedicate themselves to the service of humanity.
Vice President Ansari said the Holy Prophet showed humanity the righteous path of compassion and universal brotherhood, adding that he hoped that the Prophet's eternal message continue to guide in building a peaceful and harmonious society.
