Lady Gaga, Metallica and Katy Perry join Grammys 2017

Pop singer Lady Gaga and legendary band Metallica are geared up to set the 2017 Grammy Awards stage on fire together. The 30-year-old songstress will collaborate with the metal gods for the prestigious music award. A fan site initially tweeted an unaired promo for the show, where one could see the duo playing together. This is a new development after Gaga’s announcing her world tour for Joanne, post her 2017 Super Bowl halftime performance.

While Gaga, 30, is a regular performer at the Grammys — she appeared at the ceremony last year to pay tribute to David Bowie — Metallica has not been on the ceremony since 2014, when they performed the song “One” with the classical pianist Lang Lang.

Gaga’s “Mother Monster” didn’t got any nominations this year as ‘Joanne’ was released after the deadline, but the metal group’s “Hardwired” will compete in the best rock song category.

Apart from Gaga, Metallica, Kelsea Ballerini and Katy Perry have also joined the list of performers at this year’s Grammy’s, which has been confirmed by Recording Academy on Twitter. Ballerini gave a No 1 hit last year with her song “Peter Pan” and won new female vocalist of the year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Perry, who has 13 career Grammy nominations, is returning to the Grammys stage as a performer for the fifth time, having last done in 2015. John Legend, Carrie Underwood, Bruno Mars, Keith Urban, Adele, and Beyonce were already on the performers list.                 James Corden is hosting the 59th annual Grammys, which will take place at Staples Center here on February 12.
